Overall, I just think that this book is very inspiring. We often read stories about male presidents and their time in the white house. We finally see this from a female perspective. Here we get to see how Michelle grew up, how her parents always put education first. Their home was small but very loving. Her story shows how focusing on education can change your life. I think this sends a positive message for students, both boys and girls alike. ( )

Michelle Obama completed her undergraduate career at the prestigious Princeton University and went on to Harvard Law School. The story goes on to tell young readers of how she met her husband, former President Barack Obama at a law firm.
I loved this story because it displays the power and strength of a beautiful woman defying odds with her heart and brilliant mind and becoming one of the most respected woman in America. This story was put in very simple wording which I find great in order for younger children to better grasp the story. ( )

I give this book a 10/10 just because it's Michelle Obama. I mean, I am just obsessed with her. I think her story is so inspiring and she is just one of the coolest humans ever. She was the first lady to the first African American president and she did so much good while in office. She had to face a lot of prejudice about herself and her family, and yet still prevailed and proved that she cared about the people and youth of this country. Michelle is just over all a super cool boss lady that I think inspired a lot of my generation. We should all aim to be more like Michelle. ( )
