At first it was hard for me to get started on the book but after I got to the good parts I couldn't stop reading until the end. Also this book held some of its surprises to the very end it went down completely differently than I imagined. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I really liked this series. Jim the kind of bad boy character that I'm a sucker for. Wounded child with a soft spot for protecting women who grew up to be a mercenary and is now attempting to live a life without being a sanctioned killer. Fate has other things in store for Jim, though, and he is dragged into a shady situation with characters acting on either side of Good and Evil. Oh yeah, and all of humanity is at stake if Jim can't make things right. The guy might be a ruthless, trained killer, but he also rescues stray dogs and has a white knight complex, so I'm down. This book had more twists than I was expecting and characters that weren't just straight tropes. I'm interested in seeing where this story goes. My copy was a mass market paperback, so you think it would be well edited by the time it got to that point, but there were so many mistakes. Probably about 20 sentenced with missing words. They were easy to figure out, but it was odd. Some sentences were missing prepositions like: "I have no idea what [it] means." Pretty good, I can't wait until Crave. I love J. R. Ward! I was involved in the book before I hit the second chapter! Keeps you on your toes. I really love that Jim is an angel. Vin needed a real woman who can care for him, love him, and protect him as much as he wanted to do the same with Gretchen. Thank God that he saw Devina for what she really was. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
"Redemption isn't a word Jim Heron knows much about--his specialty is revenge, and to him, sin is all relative. But everything changes when he becomes a fallen angel and is charged with saving the souls of seven people from the seven deadly sins. And failure is not an option. Vin diPietro has surrendered himself to his business--until fate intervenes in the form of a tough-talking, Harley-riding, self-professed savior, and a woman who makes him question his destiny. With an ancient evil ready to claim him, Vin has to work with a fallen angel not only to win his beloved over...but to redeem his very soul."--p.[4] of cover. No library descriptions found. |
