This story was more interesting than the one about playground safety because it had greater detail and informative information. I read this book to my son and asked him questions about bullying and being safe at school. After the Columbine incident, I think it’s very relevant for parents to talk to their kids about what’s going on in their school; parents should ask questions about the other kids and how their child perceives them to behave. Kids sometimes recognize when things are off with peers before an adult realizes.
This book would be a great book to read to a class on the first day of school; Also, great for a parent to read to a child attending a new school. This book can have a very positive impact on school environments and help to prevent bad things from occurring. Overall, this book was an eye-opener and I enjoyed reading it.
