I like Gary and His sassyness. I like his go get it attitude. But I think he is playing it to low when I say you need to be too 10 to go after your dream. There are room for 1000nds of Gary winelords around the world doing about the same thing.

If you are thinking of taking a leap in to your dream business go with this book or his follow-up crushing it, the worst thing that could be happening is doing what you love. ( )

One thing you cannot deny is that Gary Vaynerchuk is a large personality. Whether you like him and his style or not, he has been successful. In his 2009 book, Crush It!: Why NOW Is the Time to Cash In on Your Passion*, Vaynerchuk discussed how he became successful as well as offer a strategy on how others can replicate his success. He gives you a way to be successful if you work really hard at it. Surprisingly already dated (Flipcam!) I think his style may suit a small number of his readers. ( )

This book might as well be renamed to 'How to market your products/services online' (although this title won't be a bestseller). I suspect the author changed his title to 'Crush it' and then just add some statements on PASSION at the front and back to market this book.

The author basically talks about building your brand online using different sites like blog, Facebook, youtube, Twitter and others.

At first, I wanted to give him 3 stars as the content in some parts does not really match the title. however, due to his enthusiasm and great respect for customer service and unreserved sharing, I will give him another star! A remarkable book on passion. ( )

In general, this is a good book. However, it is dated. This is not surprising since the world of social media changes very fast.

Much has changed since he wrote the book. However, there are a few things that I do like about the book.

1. He starts with first principles - family first, live your passion, work hard and be authentic
2. he also emphasises the need to build your personal brand
3. The book is easy to read

So yes, do go ahead and buy the book. ( )

His enthusiasm is admirable and his advice solid, but there's nothing new here, and his unappealing swagger—repeated stories of how he “crushed it” and “dominated” grate particularly—gives his story more the tone of adolescent peacocking than of worthwhile and sober business advice.
