Not a read for students, it is an important read for professionals, presenting the latest information about philosophical concerns over computer applications in teaching and learning. There is good research to back the assertions made in this book and it talks about how to advance knowledge in education around instructional technology as well as ways to advance oneself with continuing education. Bottom line: This book is well organized by topic. While it will date quickly, the philosophical content of why continues to be of great relevancy even when the applications date.
