She has been in love with Major for 8 years and finally vows to get over him and move on. She meets Wade and they start to date. But has hard as she tries she still loves Major. Will she finally move on or will a spark finally ignite with her one true love?Major has cherished Meredith for so many years but because of his hidden secret of his schizophrenic mother he has not acted on his feeling for her. When she starts to date he finds himself jealous. Will he let her go or finally share his secret with her and find the love he craves?I read the 3rd book in this series a few months ago and was not sure if I was going to like this book but I am glad I read it. It started off a little slow but once I got into it I had trouble putting it down. I always like a book that has two characters who love each other but don’t act on it at first. Dealing with the disorder of Schizophrenic was a interesting topic and I felt it fit well into the book. Meredith also dealt with the emotions of feeling like no man wanted her as well as not feeling appreciated by her family for all the work she does. Also reading the 2nd book helped me to get a better understanding of the main male character in the 3rd book. At some point I would like to go back and read the first book. Talk about reading a series backwards! Over all I enjoyed this book. It has a great romance story as well as dealing with honoring ones parents and self. You might want to grab the first book and read it. You can read this book with out it but that book is talked about some in this one. If you want a good romance book then this is a great choice!DISCLOSURE: I was provided a free copy of this ebook from the publisher through NetGalley to review it. ( ![]() Another winner! I'm really enjoying this series by Kaye Dacus and am looking forward to the next installment, due to be released in February. This was a light, easy read, somewhat predictable but still enjoyable. Finished this one in 24 hours, just like I did the first. I'm in love with the characters and look forward to seeing what happens in their lives. I have enjoyed reading both books in this series so far and have appreciated the characters in this series. This story is about Meredith Guidry (and her great Guidry family). Meredith has worked with Chef Major O'Hara for 8 years and has loved Chef Major for most of those years. But she is tired of waiting on him to return her love. So she sets out to find someone else. On a trip to the hardware store she runs into a guy, Ward, who is Mr. Perfect in so many ways and is willing to help her fix up the home she is remodeling. The problem is Chef Major has also fallen in love with Meredith, but can't tell her his true feelings because he has a family situation she doesn't know and must never find out about. So when he starts to see Meredith showing an interest in another man, he gets a little distraught. Can he win Meredith back with his "menu for romance". I loved Meredith's brothers and sisters and the way they interact with each other. And I also loved Major's Mom even though she was a little "crazy". This was for me an enjoyable story and I look forward to reading the next story in this series. ![]() What an enjoyable contemporary romance read! This is a sequel, but easily could be read and loved alone, but if you skip to this one it will make you eager to go back and read the first novel as well. The characters are real and fast to fill into your heart and bring you along on their journey. The story is told from the point of view of two separate characters that each have a bit of personal and spiritual growth that they must go through before they are ready to know what is capable of coming next in life. I strongly recommend this read for the romantic at heart, whether single or not it is an enjoyable and strengthening read. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
