Massie in his book Nicholas and Alexandra dismissed the whole question in a sentence or two, simply asserting Anastasia died at Ekaterinberg. Can it all be dismissed so easily? The possibility of escape seems remote--that the girl could have left the room at Ekaterinberg alive, and traveled those many miles across Russia to Romania is simply incredible. But how does one explain so much that the woman who wrote this book knew? Of course, there should be a factual study--not a biased account. What of fingerprints? I suppose the Grand Duchess was never fingerprinted. More is the pity. One cannot but be sorry for this poor woman; if she was a mere imposter, she sure didn't behave as one'd expect an imposter should have. Many of her difficulties are of her own making. Fascinating account. ( ) ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
