"What Shall We Do, Blue Kangaroo?" is about a young girl named Lily who has a best friend that is a stuffed blue kangaroo. Whenever she doesn't know what to do next, she asks her blue kangaroo. Kangaroo never answers because he's a stuffed animal but he is definitely with her wherever Lily goes. Lily is smart enough to come up with things to do by herself and do things by herself whenever her family is busy. One day, Lily has a tea party with her stuffed animals in her backyard but then it starts raining. Lily runs to save all her stuffed animals but forgets one and blue kangaroo notices. When everyone is asleep, blue kangaroo goes and saves teddy by himself and Lily is happy. Lily says to blue kangaroo, "I don't know what I would do without you." This shows that children have such wild imaginations. When Lily's family is busy, she does things by herself and has fun. She doesn't need the help of her friends or family, she can do things on her own. Children should have the same attitude about themselves. The illustrations in the book are very adorable and I really enjoyed the book and I'm sure children would too. ( )

Being a stuffed animal, she never gets a response but she ends up thinking of something on her own for them to do. When Lily would ask others about helping her do stuff or playing with her, they were always busy so she had to do stuff on her own and come up with things. Lily learns how to become an independent young girl and realizes she doesn't need anyone else to play with her or do things for her, she can do them on her own! I loved the pictures in this book--so realistic and cute and colorful. Very fun! ( )
