A delightful illustrated rhyming book about the sleeping places of numerous baby fauna. A few fish, a few birds, and lots of mammals are introduced to us humans in a lovely way.
The illustrations by Andrea Gabriel are sensitive, imaginative, colorful, and delightful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to everyone, but especially to a school, hospital, or your local public library!
I requested and received a free temporary e-book on Adobe Digital Editions from
Sasquatch Books | Little Bigfoot via NetGalley. Thank you! ( )

This is a fun rhyming book. The information is pretty usual. However, the illustrations are amazing and the author does their rhymes so well that this book is a joy to read. ( )

Fun read for kids and informative for learning about what animals live among us. Kids love this book and love learning and discussing animals in general. Great book for opening up discussions about animals and would make a good read before a field trip to the zoo or aquarium.

Where Do I Sleep? A Pacific Northwest Lullaby - Jennifer Blomgren

This book takes the reader through the different biomes and habitats in the Pacific Northwest and explores the different way several animals native to the area sleep. The animals are very unique to this area- Brown bats, otters, and salmon, for example. The lyrical melody is engaging, the illustrations are beautiful, and the book easily captures the attention of young students, older students, and adults. This would be an excellent mentor text with an Oregon or Pacific Northwest study, not to mention simply exploring lyrical writing and word choice. ( )
