Very quick read. Picked this up after a recommendation from my step-father. Found it interesting to think about it terms of myself and others I interact with on varying levels of closeness. I'm not sure that I agree with the specific structure of "5 archetypes" for apologies, but definitely useful to see the subject approached with some degree of rigor and cohesiveness. Definitely lots to ponder -- and lots of potential application.

Have you ever had a disagreement with spouse, friend, or coworker and the apology given didn’t mend your hurt feelings? Or maybe you tried to apologize only to have your apology rejected. Possibly your apology didn’t match the style of the receiver.

I read this book at the most opportune time. Everything around me that was going on dealt with forgiveness. I hope to have a better outlook now that I have explored the benefit of apologizing to myself. Learning the effective way to apologize to others, who knew that it really mattered? I am going on to his first book so that I can expand my knowledge on love and forgiveness. (
