Turkey didn't want to get ate for thanksgiving, so he tried to come up with all kind of ways to hide. He tried to look like all of the other animals so he wouldn't get killed to eat at thanksgiving. His final idea was to act like a pizza man. He brought them pizza and then they ate pizza instead of turkey and he was safe fro this year. I thought it was a very funny read. ( )

I would use this book to read to my students during Thanksgiving time and create a project that goes along with it. This book is about a turkey trying to find a disguise so that he does not get eaten for Thanksgiving dinner. I believe young kids would enjoy this book and find it very humorous as the turkey disguises himself as different farm animals and then, finally, a pizza delivery guy. ( )

Turkey was in trouble. It was almost Thanksgiving and he was the main course! But turkey had an idea, Farmer Jake wouldn't eat a horse for Thanksgiving so he disguised himself as a horse, but the cows could see right through his disguise because he was too short. So then turkey disguised himself as a cow, but the pigs could see through his disguise because he was too skinny. So then Turkey disguised himself as a pig, but the sheep could see through his disguise because he was too clean. So then Turkey disguised himself as a sheep, but the rooster could see through his disguise because he was too brown. So then Turkey disguised himself as a rooster, but Turkey was still worried because turkeys and roosters looked a lot alike. When Famer Jake got to the barn, he began to look for Turkey, but couldn't find him. When he told his wife, his wife said they'll just have to eat the rooster for Thanksgiving. When Turkey heard this, he came up with an even better idea. He disguised himself as a pizza delivery man and delivered pizza to Farmer Jake and Farmer Jake's family had pizza as their main course for Thanksgiving instead.

This was a cute and silly story. I liked the illustrations in this book because they showed you how the turkey disguised himself, which I thought was pretty funny. I also liked the ending when the turkey decided to deliver pizza to save his rooster friend. This story would definitely be great for younger students because of humor. ( )
