A compilation of several issues of "Peter Parker: Spider-Man", and for the most part they are a cut above the typical comic. The first story confronts Spider-Man with a choice between killing a bad guy, and the deaths of thousands that will ensue if he stays alive. A good story that cops-out at the end by Peter discovering an out. The second story is a hair better, about a villain who blames Spider-Man for the death of his son, who died while imitating Spider-Man. A good one that delves anew into questions of guilt and responsibility. The third story is the best, a heartwarming tale of a tradition that Uncle Ben and Peter enjoyed every year, up until his death, called "Maybe next Year". One of the better Spider-Man stories I've seen in years. The fourth is a decent and affecting story about a man, cursed with a power he never asked for, and his effort to stop it from destroying his life. A good collection of stories, and very good artwork to boot. ( )
