I love peculiar art! Another board book out of this enlightening series by Susan Rubin that is a must get for me. Magritte's quirky and eccentric paintings are reprinted for this unique children's rhyming book. Explore and discuss each painting with the reader and let your vivid imaginations run wild. ( )

It's a great little book to expose young children to Magritte's art and encourages them to use their imagination. ( )

This book is great for many reasons. One of which is that it incorporates actual pieces of art as the illustrations. This gives the reader a chance to enjoy famous pieces of art while enjoying the story about all the things they could see in their dreams. This book shows the reader how anything is possible in their dreams using imagery like "maybe we will walk on clouds (next page) then rain down from the sky." It is considered fantasy because the author tells the reader about a place "where the trees grow eyes and noses."This colorful board one is one that is great for all ages. The best part is the key is the index in the back which explains what each reprint is called as well as the materials used. ( )
