A thought-provoking book about the paradoxes in the way humans relate to animals. Well-researched and well-written, with considerable passion, compassion and wit. ( )

Ritter is an engaging writer that makes every subject fascinating. Our complex relationship with animals is of great interest to many teens and young adults. A solid addition to the secondary library.
