My kids both liked this book (14 & 9 at the time). It's a fun way to learn about how to make a cartoon. Got their creative juices going. ( )

When a knight dashes off to save the princess from a dragon, he also gets some cartooning lessons from an elf who demonstrates how designing panels, speech bubbles, and type size helps tell his story. Amusing and fun with a section on cartooning basics in the back. Share with kids and they will want to try out the ideas for themselves. ( )

A magic elf teaches a princess how to turn simple doodles into a cartoon with elements such as panels, action lines, speech and thought bubbles.

Funny and deceptively simple, the book appears to be a primer on making comics while actually telling a clever story about a knight's search for a dragon with which to do battle. Or possibly, it appears to be an adventure story which gives advice on drawing cartoons. You decide. ( )

A fun way to explain cartooning and comics to a younger audience but also a fun story too. Lots of appeal for the drawing crowd too. ( )
