I really really loved this book. This is a informative picture book about dog etiquette. However, it does not list off things you should and shouldn't do around dogs. This book cleverly tells you the right ways to make friends with dogs by rhyming. This is a brilliant idea, because the rhyme will make it easier for the children to remember how to be safe and act around dogs. On another note I love love the illustrations! They are so unique and visually appealing. ( )

Ummm, blech. A rhyming book about how to treat dogs. Very much disliked the illustrations; too sharp and scary. The suggestions are valid but the illustrations detract from the message. ( )

I really liked this book and see a real need for it. This is all about how to act around new dogs and what not to do around dogs you do not know. It is told in a simple but cute way. It rhymes but the rhymes do not feel forced and are really filled with helpful information. It would be a great read aloud for any kids because even those who have a dog need to be reminded that strange dogs need special treatment at first. I highly recommend this book! ( )
