The book counts from 1-20 by showing pictures of wildflowers to match the correct number. The book also has dot underneath to be able to count dots and wildflowers on each page. I love how the book shows real pictures and what all types of wildflowers look like. ( )

This book counts up to twenty with flowers. Each page consists a new flower and has the type of flower it is on top of the page. At the end of the book it tells you the scientific name and where you can find them. I would read to this to a class who needs helping learning numbers. Learning about flowers is a bonus for the book as well. ( )

This book is a great reference source to use when introducing students to counting numbers. I like the addition of including highlighted bubbles that are located at the bottom of each page. This provides the young student with a visual to see how many units represent that corresponding numeral on the page. Also, the teacher can include subtraction by counting the units that are not highlighted to illustrate numerical properties. ( )
