Plenty of interesting details about food local to the East Midlands, West Midlands, and East Anglia - includes traditional fruit & vegetable varieties, methods of preparation of pies and preserves, and details from relevant historical records. However, I was rather hoping it would include some recipes, which it doesn't (there is a grand total of one actual recipe in the whole book).
