Raven made me laugh out loud from page one!! The girl is crazy but I love her!! As for Trevor, I know he is like the villain or the asshole of the story, but I kind of find him funny, and I wished that he and Raven could like... work it out!! Of course it didn't work out with Trevor, but it worked with her Gothic Boy: Alexander. Not really, looking forward to see what will happen in book 2.

This is one of the cutest vampire reads ever. Raven is a goth girl, but she's not your stereotypical goth girl. She's tough, smart and has a wicked sense of humor. She may be obsessed with vampires and the dark but she has such a sunny out look on life that she makes these books a fun and worthwhile read. The plot is a vampire human romance but this time the human is the truly strong character. (

Schreiber was a standup comedienne before becoming a writer; and her talent with humor is apparent in this story. The main character is Raven, who lives in a boring town where she stands out as a "goth," wearing strange make-up and dreaming of becoming a vampire--or at least meeting one. Much of the narrative reads like a comic monologue, with good timing for jokes
