Most books that are meant to send children to sleep are less than amusing, but Dr. Seuss' treads a fine line between calming rhythmical language to lull the listener and highly amusing scenarios that make you want to keep reading right 'til the end. ( ![]() Typical Dr. Seuss fare. It wasn't one of my favourites as a kid, but I liked it okay. After reading Dr. Seuss’s Sleep Book, I was really able to sit back and reflect on how much I enjoyed this book. This book is about a bunch of yawners that continue to yawn throughout the book. The book continues to explain reasons why it is necessary to yawn. The whole point of this book is to be read in bed, so that by the end of the book, the reader, listener, or listeners are tired enough so that they have no other option but to go to sleep. I really enjoyed reading this book because of the words, and also because of the pictures. For example, all of the colors in the book were bright and cheerful. Another great example of why I enjoyed reading such a great book is because of all the poetry inside of the book. Almost every other line was a rhyme which made it much more enjoyable to read. For example, “A Jedd is in bed, And the bed of a Jedd…”. This rhyming makes the book so much more enjoyable to read. This has been a favorite bedtime story in my house from the time my children were babies. Despite its length, I can never say no! It really does rock them right off to sleep too! a fun book about all sorts of funny things that are trying to go to sleep 1 book ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
