One of the unique features of the English 'Reformation' - i.e., of the history of the Church of England - is the fact that it coincides with a climax in the history of English prose. The King James Bible (which originally contained the Apocrypha), & The Book of Common Prayer are lasting monuments to this conjunction. These two particular books are the twin towers of English language & spirituality. This edition of these two classics of the English language & spirituality bound in one volume come handsomely bound in three beautiful bindings. All editions are black with gold stampings, gold gilded page edges, six colored ribbon markers with gold/black headbands, & presentation pages. The leather editions include all of the cloth features plus, gold fillet on inner cover & a two-piece gift box. The classical Anglican devotional practise of Morning & Evening Prayer (prayer & scripture reading) can be conveniently engaged using this one book alone. To Order Direct: Send Check or Money Order for appropriate edition (include $6.50 s & h for the first book; $1 for every additional book) to Preservation Press, P.O.
