![]() Books Read in 2014 (725) Der er ingen diskussionstråde på Snak om denne bog. So far this has been my least favorite. But to be fair, it has kept up a pretty high intensity level for the last few installments. So naturally, after coming one full circle, a new story arch has to begin building. It's by no means bad, it just felt like a lot of filler. ( ![]() So obviously Vol 8 having the big prison finale, the next few issues would need to be a bit slower paced to deal with the aftermath and fallout of that. I am not too bothered by that, to be honest even the slower pace was fine because we got to see some interesting characterisation happen and look at how grief effects the chracters in different ways. Roll on DC. This series is my first time reading a graphic novel. I've been enjoying it and am now wondering about different genres to try. This issue kind of brought up what Drama might look like as a graphic novel. I can't wait to keep reading :-) Adrianne I can't imagine reading these issue by issue and having to wait a full week to see where things go next. The story moves so smoothly in Omnibus or Trade Paperback collections, and is honestly a joy. There aren't too many cliff-hangers from issue to issue, but rather a focus on the psychological ramifications of all that has happened - at least in this issue. The breathing room was much needed after the first arc wrapped up, although now what looks like the next arc should be a bit of a doozy. Are we really going to try to get from Georgia to Washington DC? Do they really know what caused the plague? Can these people be trusted? Questions upon questions, and Rick is done with providing answers. While the losses from the fire fight with the Governor weren't quite as devastating as they could have been, and old friends are slowly being found once more, they were still more than enough to make one wary of any new people... And with the psychological stress of the situation everyone is on edge and not quite as sane as they started. So far, so good for the series. It's a heck of a lot of fun and the artwork remains fantastic. Eh this one was okay. They left the prison, holed up in a house and towards the end found Abraham, Eugene and Rosita. And of course Rick and Carl found the rest of the group as well. Nothing stood out for me in this volume, but I enjoyed it nonetheless especially seeing Eugene's mullet in comic format. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
