A fascinating and useful resource showing how the line blurs between ancient Egyptian text and representational art. It's organised by hieroglyphic sign, with each section being devoted to one (the heart-jar, for example) that was widely employed in art. Each section consists of a discussion and several examples of the hieroglyphic's use. Well-written and very useful to those interested in Egyptian art and iconography. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

Without knowledge of the hieroglyphic images incorporated in the art, much remains obscure. No library descriptions found. |
