Loved it! it was a quick read and I enjoyed it. Never thought I would. I wasn't too sure what it was about. I'm happy I got start from book one! This is cute story of a girls climb up the social ladder and how she moves and shakes up an entire community. The little sub plots with the other girls keeps things ripe and moving. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the rest! ( )

This is a serious guilty pleasure for me, I shouldn't like it but I do. Its surprisingly funny and totally engrossing. I love the likes of Heath, Easy and Brett. This is much better than Gossip Girl, although, this is ghost-written, so why should I be surprised? ( )

I really liked this book. Granted, in a guilty pleasure sort of way as opposed to it being amazing literature but that's only to be expected and I'm only judging it for what it is- light and girly.

I've read but didn't enjoy [b:Gossip Girl|22188|Gossip Girl (Gossip Girl, #1)|Cecily von Ziegesar|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1255647860s/22188.jpg|3061184] so I wasn't sure how I would feel about The It Girl but it was way, way better. The characters are all really fun and interesting and actually seemed to have a lot more depth to them than I expected. The narration took a little getting used to- it switches characters randomly in the middle of a page but I didn't even notice that after the first few chapters.

The story is good- full of drama and suspense and it kept me reading until the very end because I simply had to know how it ended up. Will I read the next book? Probably, but I'm not sure if this is something I could read a lot of. Overall though, it was an easy and entertaining read. ( )

I didn't know this book was ghostwritten until I looked through some more reviews on here. Maybe that's why it felt a bit different reading it as compared to the Gossip Girl series. Jenny seemed a bit different than usual...this may be why. Yet, the book was still good. The ghostwriter keeps things interesting so I did enjoy it; it just wasn't amazing (but most teen books aren't).

The one thing that's kind of annoying is that it's almost as if the characters from Gossip Girl just changed their names and moved to this school. Easy is like Nate, Brandon is like Dan, Brett and Callie combined make a Blair, Heath is like Chuck, and Tinsley and Jenny make a Serena. I didn't really mind it that much, but others might ( )

Jenny Humphrey, the beloved little sister of Dan Humphrey from the New York Times bestselling series GOSSIP GIRL, is here to tell her own story.

After being kicked out of Constance Billard as a freshman, she decides to go to Waverley to start a new life. And she's coming back with a kick!

Her roommates Brett and Callie are the two most popular girls at the school and Jenny is taking the place of their old roommate, Tinsley, who was expelled the year before, for something that a lot of the GOSSIP GIRL characters are caught doing. Brett and Callie don't really care what happens to Jenny, even when she has to go up against the Disciplinary Committee for something she didn't do!

See what happens to one of my favorite characters in this spin-off of GOSSIP GIRL, the most fun series around! Once I started this book I couldn't put it down, and you won't be able to, either! ( )
