Finally Hamilton gets back to the story rather than a free for all sex session lasting 18 chapters. Don't get me wrong I love "smut" just as much as the next girl but it was nice to see a return to the Anita Blake books I first fell in love with. A thoroughly enjoyable read. ( )

I regret to say I actually gave Anita 8 more chances to pick up. This is the last book I will read from this series. I wanted LKH to eventually get Anita back to her bad-@$$ core, but it will not happen. ( )

Well I'm going to say that I always love the books, where Anite and Edward are together, I enjoy them so much. Plus you get more action instead of sex which is always nice too. I love it that there is no Richard can't stand him, no Micah for some reason I just don't like him, nor do I like Nathaniel either I just don't know why they've never been fave characters. Though I must say I love the names LKH comes up with in her books Truth, Wicked, Requiem, I like those guys, I really like them because they are tall and manly, where as most of the guys Anita likes are girly men look wise. Which is ok for some, but me I just prefer tall and rugged. But yes I enjoyed this book, and wish the rest of them would be like how this one is. Though I did miss Jean-Claude, but I LOVED IT! When he got all jealous, and pissy over all the men she has, and I love it that he's starting to stand up to her, hope to see more of that. ( )

I actually enjoyed this one significantly more than the previous few. Also, more than my star rating indicates. But, I docked it because the whole "Power of Love" stuff still makes me roll my eyes every time. Also, docked because I feel like the ending was rather abrupt. Olaf is .... interesting. He's creepy as hell, and it's an interesting dynamic with Anita. I'd enjoy his 'crush' on Anita more, though, if she didn't have so many other people dying to fuck her. Gets a bit old. But still, enjoyed it way more than previous entries! ( )

"Skin Trade" is a solid effort from a first-class storyteller.

I'd worked my share of serial killer cases, but none of the killers had ever mailed me a human head.
