This is a very interesting interpretation for love. When one id filled with love their green stone, which only belongs to them, shines brightly. When one is filled with bad thoughts and hate you can loose your green stone, just like Johnny did. It took him a while to regain the love that he has for his family, friends, and community. But through the process of amending the bad things he had done Johnny started to feel the love that was waiting deep down inside of him. He also found his green stone and became whole again. Alice Walker writes a beautiful story in which young Johnny loses his green stone. As we journey with him to find it, we realize he has lost it because of his negative behavior and unkind words to others. The members of the community, who each have their own green stone, come together to help Johnny find his. With a few guided questions my 9 year old was able to figure out that only after Johnny apologized and appreciated people was he able to find his green stone. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
