How long has it been since you have browsed through and used this essential manual? It is amazing to find the history and various interpretations of the central code of ethics of the library profession all in one place. The topics covered are incredible and this volume needs to be at hand as a reference and guide to day to day operations of a library and learning commons. Of particular interest in this edition is the number of articles dealing with children and young people in both the print and digital environments as the world of information changes. For problems and challenges, for policies and practice, this manual sets for the essental ideas and guidance we all need. Check your shelves. What edition do you have? Probably time to update.
