Great photography but the writing assumes the reader already has some familiarity with 20th century American architecture because it name-drops like crazy, both houses and architects. Not sure what discussing multiple projects that were never built offers to a lay audience. The houses and architects mentioned often don't match the actual photo essays. ( )
