Indlæser... The Forest of Hands and Teethaf Carrie Ryan

loved it! just ordered the other two books from Amazon and can't wait to read them! ( ![]() this novel is interesting. there are parts in it that are so downright dark and depressive that you think you should just stop reading but then it picks up in a dark way. It compells you to read more because it builds a picture in your mind slowly, leaving you wondering what happens next. A well written novel that contains suspense, romance and thrill. 3.5 Stars I had some high hopes for this book because I had read so many good reviews, but I feel a little lukewarm about it. Parts of the premise were very interesting, but the big ideas were never really explored - it just seemed to be about Mary's endless obsession with the ocean. Her obsession is understandable, but it would have been more interesting if the rest of the story and the characters had been brought into sharper focus. With her single-minded focus Mary came off as selfish and unlikeable, which made it hard to read the story at times. In spite of my complaints, I'm glad I read it because I was very curious about, and I might even read the sequel because the ending of this one did finally hint at a more interesting story. literally one of the worst books I have ever read as an adult. ever.
The story is riveting, even though it leaves a lot of questions to be explained in the sequel. Belongs to SeriesHar kommentartekstHæderspriserDistinctionsNotable Lists
