A short story about a grandfather's love for his grandson ( )

Summary:
My Grandson is a Genius, is about a Grandpa that truly believes that his grandson is a genius. He mentions how he may be president someday, or in the Olympics. My Grandson is a Genius, shows a grandparents love for their grandchild, and how they want the best for their grandchild. The story gives examples throughout the book as to why the man in the book has a genius grandchild. For example, when his grandson paints him a picture he compares him to Picasso even though he is only two years old.

Personal Reaction:
My Grandson is a Genius, displays the love that grandparents have for their grandchildren. I have a special bond with my grandparents and can relate to this book. It never fails that when I succeed at something my grandparents make me feel like I am extraordinary! I think this book reflects the special relationships children can have with their grandparents.

Classroom Extension Ideas:
Immediately after I read this book I thought this would be a wonderful book to read to my classroom and their grandparents on Grandparents Day. It is such a sweet book that makes children and their grandparents feel special.
