Summary: I would use this book in my classroom to teach a social lesson on perseverance. I would also use it to teach that no matter how stuck you may seem there is always a way to get out of a situation. This book was passed on from Russia to teach a lesson on perseverance which makes this a folklore. The story followed to sister frogs, one was super lazy and the other was very adventurous. The end up getting stuck in some white liquid and the lazy sister gives up on life. The little sister tries so hard she turned the cream into butter and they were able to get out.

"A Tale of Two Frogs" demonstrates a great example what to do and what not to do. This story consists of two frogs, one is lazy and one is adventurous, determined, and strong willed. The language used here is very lively and is easy to understand. The main theme that emerged from this story was even when one feels defeated, never give up. The determined frog never stopped kicking and she saved both her and her sister. ( )
