Joen Wolfrom explores colour scales - the variations of pure colour, tints, shades and tones - and how they affect the mood of a quilt. great book on color theory for quilting. Highly recommended ( )

Excellent colour illustrations are the highlight of this book. Less information on colour is provided than in her earlier work "The magical effects of color". However, this book is clearly written and the increased number of illustrations make it perhaps more useful to the average quilter. ( )

To my brother,
Bruce Barger,

Whose unfinished symphony
Lies quietly in wait.

Although he had every intention
To celebrate the Millenium
with the rest of us,
It was not to be.

May Bruce's music
Be enjoyed and played
Forever.

[Foreword] Many years ago, I was surprised to discover that nature was a wonderful color reference for creating quilt designs.
Selecting colors for your quilt's design should be one of the most exciting and interesting phases in your quiltmaking.
