My 3-1/2 yo stopped fussing about going to bed and started watching intently when I cracked this one for the first time. It's a fun introduction to the "powers of ten" for those who might be a bit too young for the classic film by Charles and Ray Eames. ( )

Do you know what a googol is? I sure did not until after I read this book. What a fun and interactive book! This book has you turning it sideways to read and keeps it interesting while you are learning about numbers. This is a harder concept to grasp, but this book explains it in an entertaining way. ( )

Not my favorite book. It was a great concept, but I found the book way too wordy and often the idea of counting in groups of 10 to get lost. Counting numbers is a great way for students to move forward when getting up into the higher digits figures. ( )

This book is interesting and full of information. The book does not necessarily have a story line instead it is only about looking for a really big number. First you start with one and the book progresses in adding 0 behind the one’s. Their are also a lot of visual aids that support the text and numbers you learn.

In a math lesson you can use this book for multiplication, learning about billions and trillions or even just how numbers are never ending.

Me personally I like the book, however, I think it is a bit much . The visual aids are great, but all the information the book is trying to tell the readers is overwhelming. Me personally I would section the book off and read certain parts of it as I teach a math lesson on multiplication or how number are never ending. Very informative and rich book. I did not even hear of the term googol before, which shows that children book can be very beneficial to adults as well. This take you on a journey through various destinations to simplify huge numbers by using very fun and engaging illustrations to keep the students interested and entertained. This will be a great book to use as an additional resource , or to read it as a reward to enforce positive behavior. ( )
