From New York Times best-selling author Lisa Mondello - A Western Romance Ever since Mitch Broader set foot in Texas, he dreamed of owning his own ranch. Now that he's bought a share in the Double T Ranch, he's one step closer to the dream. Then his past greets him in the form of a baby basket, complete with infant and birth certificate naming him as the father. He can't change diapers and work toward his dream at the same time. When Sara Lightfoot, "Miss Hollywood" in Mitch's eyes, rescues him with her particular knack for handling his precocious son, he hires her on the spot as a temporary nanny. No matter how much Sara's dark eyes and warm heart make this bachelor think of making their arrangement permanent, she's made it perfectly clear she has other plans that don't include him or his dreams. Sara Lightfoot never thought she'd return to her home on the reservation. Now she plans to reclaim the life she left by going back to the reservation as a Native American storyteller, teaching the Apache children stories of their culture. She didn't expect Mitch Broader's sexy smile or job offer as a live-in nanny to derail those plans. After all she's been through to come home, can she open up her heart once again to love?… (mere)

I liked this book a lot more than the first one in the series, Her Heart for the Asking.

First of all, I liked the friendship between Sara and Mitch, their chemistry. And the thing I loved most was that their story didn't feel rushed in any way to me. I loved seeing them together, bonding and trying to figure out what their relationship should be like, all the while keeping their friendship intact.

Sara is a woman with scars. She went through some ugly moments with her ex-husband and she did some things she's not exactly proud of, but she tries to learn from her past and use it to help Mitch. She tries to see the good in everyone, even if she's sometimes mistaken.

Mitch is a very sexy cowboy. But there's a lot more to him than that, trust me. He's funny, stubborn, proud, sensible and he has great taste in music. He had a rough childhood and he'll do whatever it takes too make sure that his son won't go through the same traumatic experiences, even if it means giving up his dreams.

There were some very funny moments, there were some sad moments and everything in between. One thing I adored was that we get some info on what happens currently with Mandy and Beau, the heroine and hero from the previous book. I like getting news about old characters, it makes the stories inside a series a lot more real to me.

I would recommend this book to anyone loving a good romance book. ( )

His Heart for the Trusting (Book 2 Texas Hearts) by Lisa Mondello

His Heart for the Trusting is the second book in the Texas Heart Series, Lisa Mondello’s writing is good, story line is well written and I really enjoyed reading about the friendship that blossomed between Sara and Mitch.

Mitch works on the ranch and feels he is finally doing something that may lead to his dream of owning his own ranch one day come true, but his plans may be put on hold for awhile when he finds out his ex-girlfriend has just dropped on a baby claiming he is the father and it’s his turn to raise him.

Sara who is finally returning home to Texas from a horrible marriage just wants to start over and work teaching children about their history. When Mitch realizes he needs help and Sara maybe the one person who is willing to help for a short time till he can figure things out.

The friendship, and the relationship that builds up between Mitch and Sara is great, but of course they due run into a few problems along the way.

Lisa Mondello has written another fantastic novel in this series and I am excited to see what happens in book 3.

I have rated His Heart for the Trusting 4 stars and would recommend it to anyone who loves romance novel.

This is book two in the series and also very good. This story is about Mitch Broader, who is part owner of the Double T Ranch in Texas (with Beau Gentry from book one). Mitch is enjoying his life and saving up to own his own place someday when along comes a baby left "on his doorstep" by a woman, Lillian, who says it is his child and he can take care of him. Enter Sara Lightfoot, who left years earlier to escape her Indian heritage and marry a man who would take her away. Sara is back, after a cruel marraige, and realizing how important her heritage really is. Sara agrees to become the nanny for Mitch's baby and this is where the story gets interesting. The feelings they have for each other become pretty obvious, but what happens when the real mother comes back into the picture?? ( )

Book 2 in the Texas Hearts series concerns Mitch Broader (a close friend of Beau Gentry whom we met in book 1 "Her Heart for the Asking"). Mitch has bought into the Double T and is training and selling horses with the idea of saving money and one day buying a spread of his own. That is until Lillian comes and dumps a baby on his doorstep and tells him he is a father. Sara Lightfoot grew up on the reservation close to the Double T and is a good friend to Beau's wife, Mandy. She has returned home to find her roots after a bitter marriage and divorce. The day she arrives is the day that Lillian drops the baby off to Mitch. Mitch has no idea what to do with the baby so Sara agrees to be a live-in nanny until he can find a replacement. What transpires is two people with broken hearts and failed dreams learning to trust again. Mitch and Sara seem to be just perfect for each other. Can what they have withstand what Lillian has up her sleeve? ( )
