Doonesbury's dry political humor is somewhat an acquired taste, one that I often struggle to acquire myself. However, fans of Hunter S. Thompson are more than aware of his being the inspiration behind his thinly-disguised (if at all) appearance in Doonesbury as Uncle Duke. This is a collection of some of the comic strips featuring this character, and all I can really say about it is that if you like Hunter S, Thompson, you'll probably enjoy some of the strips in this collection. That is all. ( ) Introduces Trip Tripler as Sal's (Mike's brother) first college roommate. Mike and J.J. find a dilapidated apartment with a dope den in the same building. Zonker wins a $23 million lottery. The gang gets together at Walden Commune to say goodbye to it as Mike and J.J. depart. J.J. gets a gig doing the restrooms at a club opening, and Trip Tripler joins Navy ROTC. Duke is discovered apparently dead, but it is found that he has been changed into a zombie and spirited away. Rev. Scot Sloan takes over Walden. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
