This book tells of the earlier years of King Arthur as he became the King of Great Britain and fought the rebellion that broke out soon after. Once he was able to beat the rebellion, he returned home, married his princess, and created the Knights of the Round Table. The book goes into some detain about the battles, so it may be complicated for young readers. This book is a folktale: once again, it is a classic battle of good and evil, with a courageous man fighting to stop the bad, get the girl, and create safety and a legacy. Watercolors were primarily used in the illustrations. ( )
