Within this book Scholastic also uses cross-references which also tell you more about the subject on the page. This book opens the students minds to how things work in their everyday lives. It focuses on how such things like bathrooms, bike, buses, clocks, glass, and money. While reading through this encyclopedia I immediately noticed that it is not like any other encyclopedias I have read before. This encyclopedia features pictures, definitions, real life illustrations, and alternative ways of thinking. It gives facts about each term listed while offering real-life examples so that it can relate to the students lives. It continues to go in-depth by giving a step-by-step example of how these different things work. I also love how the book has a pattern of showing each term across a double page spread while featuring models of that particular term so that students can actually see a visual of what is being talked cartoonish and some are real-life which relates to both of their childlike worlds. This book would be great to have in the classroom because children can see how things relate to each other and in our world. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
