I honestly did not think I would finish this book because at one point it was reading like a very bad fanfiction attempt. It got better towards the end, although I'm still not too fond of the main character. I would prefer a story written around the secondary characters as they are much more likable and more interesting! ( )

Midnight's daughter is a series that is woven into the Cassandra Palmer series. The two series can be read alone or together (they're better this way). There are also so small novellas and shorts available if you're looking for a little more back story, (I read the Midnight's daughter and Cassie Palmer series first.) I love that the Characters grow and evolve as the story progresses. The book is pumped full of action, serious sarcasm, strong female characters who can hold their own and one or two oh so sexy vampires. ( )

This has to be one of my favourite books! I love the reimagined character and back story of Dracula, and Dory is one of the best heroines I have ever had the pleasure to meet on the page. Packed with chaos, magic and a healthy dose of snark this book and the wonderful series which follows will be permanent additions to my re-read pile!! ( )

The first book of an epic new spin off series. Full of both new and old characters, this series is so gripping from start to finish. I love the main character and as always the additional characters are so well written that they really come to life. I thought that this series couldn’t possibly compare to the Cassie series, but I was dead wrong and I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series. ( )
