A compilation of the Sunday full-page strips (in black-and-white, unfortunately) of what is almost universally considered the best comic strip ever, "Krazy Kat". I second that assessment. It doesn't make it my all-time favorite; "Krazy Kat" often requires some effort. It is well worth the effort, but "Krazy Kat" is more a work of art than a laugh riot. Krazy and Ignatz is a love story that explores the relationships between its three main characters. Krazy Kat adored Ignatz Mouse and Offisa Pup loved Krazy but Ignatz hated Krazy. Using this simple structure Herriman built a whole new world of meaning. No library descriptions found. |
