The story of brothers Thor and Loki tells the tale of how brawn isn't always a useful a weapon as using your brain! The brothers are outwitted by the Giants, but shown in the end that they were only beaten in their challenges because it had been seen already that they had great strength and needed to be taught a lesson about using their heads and not Thor's hammer to solve problems. I loved the graphic novel format. The illustrations were vivid and realistic. The graphic novel format is appealing to readers of all levels. The author consulted Bulfinch's Mythology and researched Norse mythology to make sure the story was retold accurately. The end of the book contains a glossary of terms and names so readers can look up a more on Thor, Loki and Norse mythology. The title is from Graphic Universe, an imprint of Lerner Publishing Group. They also have Hercules, Isis & Osiris, King Arthur and The Trojan Horse. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

Out of the great halls of Asgard, home of the Norse Gods...came one of the greatest Norse legends. Thor, powerful god of thunder, and his brother Loki, the trickster, were eager to resolve an argument: Does strength always win, or do brains always beat brawn? To find an answer, they travel to the strange and forbidding land of giants. There they will face a series of challenges that will prove once and for all which god is right. Or will it?
