When popular author Adrian Calabrese's father was in surgery for a life-threatening medical condition, she asked for a sign that he would survive-and she immediately received one. Now she shares her secrets for getting clear guidance from the Universe in Sacred Signs, teaching readers a simple three-step method for receiving divine messages. The original checklists and questionnaires throughout the book help readers focus their desires to more effectively communicate with the Universe. Success stories throughout the book provide inspiration and further demonstrate how to use this personal, nondenominational approach to interpreting divine signs.… (mere)

My thoughts are that this really was a stretch to make it a book. It seems like all of this could have been summed up as an essay. It got quite repetetive in places, although I did find the anecdotes about her personal signs & those of her friends to be helpful.

I liked the book, despite those criticisms. I paid $13.95 for it @ Borders and I believe it was $ well spent.

While these concepts won't be new to anyone who has ever done Divination, the way that she talks about structuring your sign requests is helpful. I found that it would be helpful not only in asking for signs, but for using a pendulum and even narrowing down the field for a tarot or other type of reading.

I did feel beat about the head by the "you have to believe in it" stuff, especially the exercises.

But again, the book was helpful and I'd recommend it to others who are interested (I'm going to let some friends borrow it) with the warnings I mentioned above as to the repetetiveness. ( )
