Jesse Steele stops a robbery and gets himself injured in the process. He ends up in Dr. Tania Pulaski's E.R. and the two find themselves attracted to each other. Only thing is, Tania doesn't do relationships since she was a victim of rape as a teenager. And Jesse is overly cautious of women since he had to get a restraining order against a woman who was stalking him and who fancied herself his girlfriend, even though she wasn't.

The romance in this Romantic Suspense was engaging with some nice chemistry going on between Tania and Jesse. The suspense was very minimal, though, mostly saved till the end. The story also tended to get bogged down a lot with Tania's family and her sisters' wedding plans. ( )

Good book - a little hurried at times, but still good.

Tania Pulaski keeps men at a distance in her life. She likes having them around, but she never feels that she can get close. She loves the ER especially when it's busy because it keeps her mind from drifting to things that are in her past. Then a very handsome man winds up in the ER and she tends to him, but there is an instant attraction. Can Tania let this man in or will she continue in her lonesome existance.

Jesse Steele is fiercely independent and has some secrets of his own. The day he is taken to the ER, his life changes for the better, but how can he convince the beautiful doctor that she can take a chance on him.

The romance was great and the suspense storyline was good too. A very enjoyable book and if you have read the earlier books in this series you will get a glimpse of Tania's sisters and what is going on with them, but it is not a problem if you haven't read the books (I haven't). I will be getting the other books in this series to enjoy though. ( )
