This is the workbook that is meant to be read with the book Every Woman's Battle. I found it to be an excellent workbook when used with the book. As a stand alone study it encourages single women to pursue a virtous life in thought and deed - recognizing the pull of sexual compramise. The one thing I liked was the fact that this explored the issue of what sex means to a woman - that it is more than the physical act but is also very emotional. To compramise sexually is to compramise emotionally as well. The ramifications are long-lasting and often times devasting. I especially liked the theme of "guarding one's heart" as this is truly the route that must be taken to maintain sexual integrity in a highly phornographic and sexually charged society where all things go. I highly recommend this for young ladies entering a world outside their parents home. I believe it would be an encouragement to them to gaurd the most precious thing by gaurding their hearts - from which life and death are issued. For it is in this most sacred place that we make all decisions - and what we allow into our hearts will determine our abibility to fully rest in the Savior. It encouraged us to open our minds and our hearts to be honest about our feelings about sex, temptations, and relationships. It was very interesting because the group of women were from all over, different nationalities, and both single and married. This book is a definate conversation tool, and allows an opportunity for honest healthy conversation, and sharing, and support. This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. Despite the fact that this is only the workbook and not a full book - it's still a great resource. It talks about the difference between how men and women battle impurity and the many different kinds of impurity there are. For many women, the struggle for emotional purity in the mind and heart is greater than the struggle for physical purity. Ms. Ethridge helps women to face their weaknesses and encourages them in ways to be strengthened in the Lord to live holy lives both in mind and body. This is not a book only for women who struggle with maintaining sexual purity – this is a book for every woman. This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. This workbook is good, but not complete in itself. If you want to get the most out of the workbook, you would need to have and read the actual book that goes along with the workbook. It is called a Companion Guide for a good reason. If you are wanting to study this topic, and have the book, go ahead and get this workbook, but just be aware that it would not be good as a stand alone study. Every Single Woman's Battle focuses on guarding your heart in dating relationships, which I believe is an important addition to the "True Love Waits" abstinence message. Young women would do well to study this together in a group to get the full benefits of the concepts presented. I gave it to my young adult daughter! ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
