In the sequel to A Lick of Frost, Meredith Gentry, whose rightful place on the throne of Faerie is dependent on being able to produce an heir, is overjoyed when she finds herself pregnant after many failed attempts, but her triumph is overshadowed by court plots against her life and those she loves.
This is my favorite Merry Gentry book to date.... while the Anita Blake series has become complicated and ridiculous, this series seems to get better and more complex with each book. I Loved it:) ( )
TENTACLES: CHECK. TENTACLE PORN: CHECK. POORLY-TIMED THREESOMES: CHECK. otoh, this book is sort of amazing because Merry finally does a lot of bad ass shit, like literally blowing some assholes up? THANK GOD I'M DONE, THOUGH, I couldn't take much more. ( )
for some reason I didn't care for this book as I have for the others, it was still good as a whole but it just didn't float my boat, like the others have ( )
