“After years of experimentation,” the author(s) developed a method to create delicious bread as remembered from (their) childhood. They eliminated tedious time consuming steps keeping only those steps essential for the bread and it’s flavor.

As with most cookbooks, the majority of the book is recipes. And for me, the most delightful part is reading the part before the recipes.

My wife bought the Kindle book at the end of May 2020 and has been making artisan breads since then. Finally those baking stones are coming in useful. ( )

Mostly recipes. Very little discussion of the science behind them, or why certain things work and don't work. ( )

I finally bought the book. I was checking out my library's book, returning it, and than checking out the other library copy for about two months. The bread making isn't as simple as 5 minutes a day - but its close. You can't make a bad batch. I've only made the master recipe, but it is so tasty that I really have no desire to try any of the others. ( )
