Benny's Pennies is a great book to read to Kindergarteners when learning to count pennies. In the beginning of the story Benny has 5 pennies. Throughout the story he buys different things with his pennies.

This is a math story about a little boy named Benny who has five pennies. Benny goes around the town, spending his pennies according to what his family asks him to buy. Benny buys five items that each cost one penny. Great to use for counting, subtraction, addition, or just to talk about the value of a penny!
