Fiction. Mystery. Romance. Suspense. When Robin Stuart is pulled from the stormy seas, she can only cling desperately to the arms that surround her. Robin has been too close to danger not to recognize it again: in the eyes of the rugged, fearless man. Michael Siran is an expert at playing dangerous games. But from the moment the terrified beauty with the piercing gaze sets foot on his ship, he's touched by a true sense of purpose. Robin insists on remaining by his side - even though she is asking the world of a man who trusts no one. Michael is determined to give her everything - if he can only make her understand that even heroes are human, and that her courage runs as deep as his love.… (mere)

Slight variation in the suspense plotline; pretty much the same in the romance one. Hagen is not really involved here, for once - in fact, he's very much a side issue. I enjoyed the tangle of agents - does Dane count as a double agent, I wonder? Both (or all of) his masters appear to be on the same side, but... Other than that - white slavery, with a personal touch; nice to see Michael again, and get a little deeper into him. I like Robin, and her setup was quite good - all the training and no ties. Michael is unexpectedly perceptive - though I suppose if she'd ever talked to anyone about her feelings, someone else might have come up with much the same thing. The usual insta-lust, resisted only for a short time. Nice suspense climax, and final twist; and a happy-ever-after, of course. ( )
