Indlæser... Shepherding a Child's Heartaf Tedd Tripp
![]() Der er ingen diskussionstråde på Snak om denne bog. ![]() Based on the varying levels of stars given to this book I can see that it's a controversial book which is never going to be for a populist market. I for one thought the premise was brilliant, and the emphasis on dealing with issues of the heart were truly biblical. I particularly liked the way Tripp pointed out that good behaviour without a changed heart was simply hypocrisy and examined the different approaches to discipline by exploring their purpose. I also appreciated the way that he dealt with the changing approach to parenting as your children get older. This book shouldn't be part of any collection. Tedd Tripp demands abusing your children in the name of God. Although his idea of God has no connection to the God of the bible. He roll plays situations where the parent must explain to his child that he must be spanked or it would be a sin. This a usie book is one of the few books I've ever thrown away. Overall, it's a great book. It's heavy on parenting philosophy, but it's a little bit light on practical application, I think. The author's examples seem to assume that disciplinary conversations with the children are all going to go off just so - where's the guidance for the parents of a mouthy, strong-willed child who is in the midst of a completely out-of-control tantrum, opposing all instruction and/or discipline? ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
Shepherding a Child's Heart is about how to speak to the heart of your child. The things your child does and says flow from the heart. Luke 6:45 puts it this way: "out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks (NIV)." Written for parents with children of any age, this insightful book provides perspectives and procedures for shepherding your child's heart into the paths of life. - Back cover.
