This work tells the stories of ten women who weekly gather together in an informal study group. Sarah, of the title, presents commentary upon the weekly Torah reading. While this is a work of non-fiction it reads much like a novel as it traces the history of each woman and explains the role of Hasidim in each person's life. This is not the best written book I've ever read but the enthusiasm of the authors and the unique perspective of each participant makes up for the writing. Highly recommend as a glimpse into the lives of religious women. ( )
