None were memorable enough to comment. Overwhelming stories of zombies and voodoo which are not clever stories. ( ) An unusual anthology for its time. I originally purchased this book because I am a huge fan of Anne McCaffrey and bought everything I could that she was published in. For those that collect her work, this a nice addition simply because it is so different from her other writing. Her story involves African magic and a southern white family. All the tales included in this book are set during the Civil War and involve some fantastical aspect. Unfortunately, most of the offerings are unworthy and got printed because of the other big names attached (as is the case with most anthologies I've read - a new gem is truly a rare find). Horror fans will appreciate Ed Gorman and Nancy Collins' contributions. Overall, diehard fans of any included author wouldn't regret the purchase, but casual fans needn't search for this out of print title. This is an excellent compilation of short stories about the supernatural side of the war. We often hear stories about how people saw things when times got rough. (Ex. People who were running late for work on 9/11 even though they'd never been late in their entire lives.) This book tells some of those stories (even though they are fiction.) Enjoy this romp into the occult. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
